洛杉矶的顶级酒店重新装修升级 费尔蒙和全球 顶级设计团队介绍

想介绍一下这个费尔蒙奢侈酒店项目主要是因为很少碰见如此实力强大的设计团队组合。
第一家是来自纽约的 PEI COBB FREED 建筑设计公司,也就是华人建筑设计大师贝聿明的公司,由于他年事已高,公司现在主要由另外两个年富力强的设计师担纲,分别是COBB和FREED。
洛杉矶本地设计公司 MARMOL RADZINER 负责配合。这也是一家顶级设计公司,只是他们规模不大,应该从来没有做过如此大规模的设计项目,所以只能是配合方案落地。
第三家是来自旧金山的 GENSLER,全球商业设施室内设计规模最大的公司,同时也是商业设计建筑设计界的大佬。中国第一高楼上海中心就是他们设计的。他们的强项不是这种奢华酒店,所以应该不是主导作用,可能是这栋历史建筑 – 原名为世纪广场酒店现在更名为费尔蒙的奢华大酒店 – 有部分是商业项目,需要GENSLER来主导。
第四家是核心团队 – 来自加拿大多伦多的YABU PUSHBERG室内设计公司,如今国际奢侈酒店设计领域的第一名。其规模比不上在国内做过很多项目的威尔逊和HBA,但是他们的设计品质和声誉已经超过了威尔逊和HBA这两个大公司。
估计建筑方面起主导的是贝聿明的团队,室内设计毫无疑问是YABU PUSHBERG。

Looking for planners and architects for a Tibetan Buddhist cultural base in China

Details of a Tibetan Buddhnist Cultural Base in Qinghai, China
Name of Project: The Holy Land of Thousand-Buddha
It consists of the following components:
1. WINTER PALACE
The target of this palace will have gross floor area (all floor) of 1 million m2. This is the major component of the entire cultural base in this city.
The first phase of the Winter Palace will be 100 detached glass greenhouses for 100 living Buddha to stay in extremely cold winter in this province. Inside each greenhouse it will be gardens, in the gardens there will be timber houses for the living Buddha to pray and live. Each garden will be around 800 m2, and the timber houses will cover around 200 m2, altogether each green house will cover 1,000 m2.
In the future, there will be 900 such green houses to be built.

2. THE PLATEAU OXYGEN BAR
It consists of 4 buildings, with GFA(Total Floor Area) of 100,000 m2. Inside these buildings there will be tea houses, snack and food square, oxygen rooms, massage rooms.

3. TANCHENG ICE SCULPTURE
In this Buddhist theme city there is a lake park. In winter when it’s icy there will be 30 separate icy altar houses of different design.

4. THE TIBETAN CULTURAL WORKSHOPS
There will be 20 workshops, each around 300 m2, served as shops and showrooms: clothes, Tibetan joss sticks, music and video, Tibetan Buddhism Tangka Art, Nima stone sculpture, black pottery, yak products, musical instruments, plateau photos, furniture, carftwork, artistic pieces, and other Buddhist suppliers.

5. TIBETAN MUSEUM
A 10,000m2 showroom for historical relics, charts, sculptures, and photos, 3 media rooms of 4D effects, 100 m2 each, playing movies of esoteric Buddhism, the Tibetan view of universe, and reincarnation.

6. TIBETAN WELLNESS PAVILION
It is a wellness focused SPA following the principles of the Sutra of Healing Master. There will be 80 meditation rooms of 10 m2 each, 4 training rooms of 60 m2 each, a 200 m2 restaurant, and a 600 m2 Tibetan medicine showroom.

7. THE WISDOM SOURCE THEMED PARK
It is a 20-hectare themed park with an icon of Manjushri. In this park there will be spaces and facilities for inspiring, answers.

8. THE HOLY LAND OF LOVE
It is also 20-hectare themed park with spaces/activities for romantic matching, training, healing and museum, etc.

9. THE FORTUNE SQUARE
This 13-hectare square is for the stories of various Buddha of Wealth.

10. THE AMUSEMENT PARK OF BUDDHIST CULTURAL UNIVERSE
This high-tech amusement park of 43-hectare will feature Buddhist culture.

11. THE EXPERIMENT PAVILION FOR REINCARNATION
The 6,000 m2 building includes activities of approaching-death experiments, intermediate views between death and reincarnation, the six great divisions in the wheel of karma, the imitation of reincarnation, distant view of celestial burial and the research center for reincarnation.

12. HOT SPRING SPA
The area has hot spring underground. The SPA will be divided into 3 zones of different luxury levels. The luxury zone has 30 SPA rooms, the mid-level will have 100 rooms and a hot spring pool; the lower level zone will be just hot spring pools and showers in two divisions, one for 60 male guests and another for 60 female guests.

13. THE CAR CAMP
It consists of a 600-car parking, a rental ground of 100 SUV, a 33-hectare camping base, and service center, convenient store, maintenance workshop, gas station, car washing, and 2nd hand car trading.

14. THE PLATEAU WILDLIFE ZOO
It covers a land of 130 hectares, divided into habitats for different animals. There will be grasslands, bushes, forest, lake and river. Tourists will be protected by glass rooms.

15. THE LOCAL FOOD MARKET
A 3,000 m2 shopping mall sells various kinds of food products: yak milk products, herbal drinks, deserts, organic food, Tibetan herbal health-improvement products, etc.

16. HELICOPTER AVIATION BASE
3 helicopters will be purchased for luxury travel arrangements, scientific survey, and rescue.

Other facilities include restaurants, coffee shops, parking, bathrooms, clinic and service center, etc.

Notes:
1. Design and planning must respect Tibetan traditions and religious taboos.
2. Remember the plateau climates, and the earthquake resistance requirements. The large temperature difference and short period of construction season are both vital.
3. Designers are expected to be experts of sustainability. The environment in the plateau is fragile and energy is precious.
4. Construction will be phase by phase, and zone by zone, and does not affect the parts that were already opened to the public.

Custom made furniture is yet to become a trend in China. If you are an interior designer and would like to work in China, you may need to know the difference here: We cannot find them, we will have to buy from international market, or Hong Kong even though they are all made here.

Looking for master planners for a Tianjin buddhism resort in northern China

We strongly suggest you team up with a group of architects for this Tianjin new town project, because we will need a team of designers and architects who know residential high rise apartments, luxury resorts, high density urban complex, Chinese restrictions, etc. If your company is small, this is the best way to be successful in China. Your team would be able to compete with those large international design firms who have already established themselves here.
Note that you will be working closely with this Beijing architecture design firm, from the very beginning because they brought the job to us. They will be designing from the beginning as well, not wait until your work is completed.

Looking for an urban design team for Shanghai Pudong Marina walking street

Message from the developer: The walking street plus its attached facilities including shopping mall, etc will be located in Shanghai’s Pudong Lingang New Town(I decided to translate it into Pudong Marina), which is a new city currently being developed in Shanghai’s Pudong District, where the Pudong International Airport is. This marina is called Dishui Lake, a man made lake completed just a few years ago.
In this large lake there are three islands – left over of the land when excavating the lake. The islands are mainly themed park, hotel, shopping mall, leisure, entertainment, etc. Our project will be shinning here.
Shanghai is expanding too large in recent years. The government decided to develop a few secondary cities functioning as the supporting hubs to the heart of Shanghai, which is in the west of Huangpu River.
Our company is a Shanghai native developer, who used to focus on residential developments. We welcome all international master planners/architects who are experienced in developing high density urban complex and walking street to contact us through Amasia.

Fireplace in China: Just in case you do not know. Chinese families do not use fireplace!

But the new high end houses are starting to use them, although not so beautiful. We actually make a lot of them, as I heard, and they are all for exports only. This does not mean you cannot specify or recommend fireplaces to your future Chinese clients though. We not only need them in most places of China because of the weather, but also love them – by those who have used fireplaces. It’s just yet to be introduced by more and more home builders here.

This development will consist of
total GFA: 1.5 million sm

Location: The City of Wuxi in Jiangsu Province (Shanghai Region) This page shows the meeting between the state-owned developer, SCHX, and the district governor of Wuxi’s Beitang District, where the development will be located.
Developer: HXSC, from Beijing;
Co-developer: An unknown Shanghai firm;

Because of the economy, most likely the developer will not hire expensive top level architects for this project. We will not focus on the ability and experience of the team working on mid-high rise apartments because Chinese architects are pretty good at that area already. After initial planning, a local Chinese architecture design firm will take over the residential part, and an international firm will take over the commercial part for detailed design. Your ability and experience for commercial projects, especially shopping malls, etc, are important.

Selection process will start after Chinese New Year, which will end by Feb.20.
The planner will form an international team, but the developer will pick the local firm to support the planning process.
There will be no competition for this development.
We are only proposing for planning at this stage, architecture design will be in separate contracts.

Buildable land in China: feeling spacious yet dense

I am sure you love this picture below, but it’s not my intention to show you a great picture. Although it’s so beautiful, it’s not that practical to design a project like this in China because we are lack of land, and this kind of spacious project/resort can only appear in some very remote areas, or protected area near the city. Please keep that in mind about the land issues in China, you need to be more creative and thoughtful to keep the balance of high floor area ratio and high green ratio, which means the project will look loose and green everywhere, it is actually dense in terms of floor area ratio, which is F.A.R.
Most international architects and designers I worked with are not flexiable enough working in China to handle this kind of difficulty.

Looking for planner for a large scale agritourism resort in Chengdu City

One of our clients is going to invest in a very large scale agritourism development in Western China’s Chengdu City. The resort will consist of thousands of acres of traditional paddy fields, and villages, farms, town, organic/non-GMO food production, etc. If you have worked in China as a resort planner, or have planned successful agritourism resort/ranches in the rest of world, or you are familiar with the paddy field culture in Asia, please join our team. We are forming an international planner team for this.
If you want to find out what we are going to develop, pls find some examples in Japan and China’s Taiwan and that will show you what we want to achieve. Do not ask me to provide detailed information. If we have everything on mind we wouldn’t need to find an international planner, we can just use a local design team to draw.
Note that although this resort will be very large, the majority of the land is paddy fields or other types of agricultural use land which are protected by the nation not to be developed as buildable. The planners will just need to put all the elements together by designing something that are not there yet, like charming bed and breakfast, recreation activities (zip line, for example)…The restaurants and delicious foods are already there.
Chengdu is where the giant padda breeding center is, the largest city in the west of China, also one of the most popular destinations.

A planning job in China: Looking for a planner and landscape architect for a residential community in Shandong

The community has two parts: residential and commercial. And they consist of 6 parcles in which 4 are residential, 2 are commercial which are in the middle and on the river side.
The land coverage of the project is 24.2 hectare, 4 of which is commercial. The total GAF is approximately 367,000m2. The above ground GFA is 286,000m2, and basement 81,000m2.
Setback: for low and mid height buildings, the setback is 1.5 times of the building heights, min.15m, and for high buildings, it will be determined by the sun light.
Density: residential – 28-32%, commercial – 35%;
Green ratio: residential – 35%, commercial – 25%.
The FAR of the residential part is 1.1 and the commercial part 1.6. Townhouse is the majority of the residential area and its FAR is 0.82, while the 11F apartments FAR is 2.48. The apartments are mainly on the north which are lower than the south.
The architecture style of the residences will be English Red Bricks.
Government Control: 30% of the total GFA should be residences under 90m2.

The master planning will be done by a Chinese planner. We only provide landscape architecture for this part, the major part.
The landscape architect we are looking for will also provide planning service for a mountain park on the side of this community, which is around 50 hectares.
